BRNW California 2024

There will be a big bicycle tour coming to Etna, and the organizers want locals to know about it, so no one is shocked to see all these riders.

Bicycle Rides Northwest is bringing 300 riders and 50 crew to town on Tuesday 6/25.  They'll be coming in from Yreka on Scott River Road and Hwy. 3, with their arrival spread out between roughly 11 am and 3 pm.  They will be staying two nights at the city park.  They'll ride a loop that goes down to Callahan and out Eastside Road to Fort Jones and back to town via Island Road on Wednesday 6/25.  They will ride out from the park between 7 and 8 am, and will be off the road by lunchtime or early afternoon.  The event will leave town Thursday morning 6/27, using Hwy. 3 and then Gazelle-Callahan to get to Weed.  Again, riders will leave town between 7 and 8 am.

Riders are required to obey traffic laws, and there won't be any roads closed.  The event is providing a community grant and hiring local entertainers, as well as paying local youth to help with baggage.  Let's make sure we provide a nice welcome for them.
